Event details

The purpose of this workshop, which is being run jointly by the KTN and the Centre for Process Innovation Limited (CPI), part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, is to consult the community of companies and other stakeholders who are active in this field to find out what are their current and future needs.

Who should attend?

This consultation workshop is intended for companies (SMEs, large companies, university spin-outs) already active in the broad area of healthcare photonics. A small number of academics and other stakeholders are also expected to attend. This consultation is being done in the context of a proposal by the CPI for the creation of a National Centre for Healthcare Photonics (NCHP), a world class open access innovation facility to accelerate innovation and commercialisation of photonics based technologies for healthcare applications.

What will participants gain from the workshop?

Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to express their opinions about healthcare photonics in general and find out about the new National Centre for Healthcare Photonics under development and engage with the Centre very early in its development stage, helping to shape its design, equipment specification and the mix of services that will be offered. There will also be the opportunity to network with like-minded companies and explore proposals for collaborative research and innovation projects.
